Value Stream Planning Lead, Senior Planner Buyer Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY Moog, Inc. is a global leader in high-performance motion control systems, designing and manufacturing advanced solutions that support aerospace, defense, industrial, and medical applications worldwide. Our Commercial Aircraft Group (CAG) in East Aurora, NY is currently seeking an Associate Buyer/Planner Analyst to join a collaborative and fast-paced operations team. In this role, you will serve as a key contributor to Production Control activities, helping ensure the successful planning, coordination, and execution of production schedules to meet customer commitments. The position supports all phases of planning and material flow management while partnering closely with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and operations teams to drive on-time delivery and operational excellence. Typically, a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of prior relevant experience; Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Knowledge of planning, production control, supply chain, inventory management, or operations processes is preferred Planning, operations, manufacturing, or technical experience is preferred Analyze and maintain planning parameters in alignment with material strategies, inventory plans, and business demand profiles Convert demand signals into work orders in accordance with established planning systems and processes Monitor material shortages and supplier lead times, taking action to mitigate risks to production schedules Develop achievable and balanced production plans that align with customer demand and operational capacity Perform capacity analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production requirements Escalate schedule impacts, material constraints, and customer delivery risks as needed Support audits and inventory reviews involving customer-owned inventory Manage work-in-process (WIP) within assigned planner codes and maintain optimal inventory levels Provide work center scheduling support and clear-to-build status updates Facilitate the review and maintenance of Planning Bills of Material (PBOMs) based on changing demand requirements Construct and maintain Line of Balance (LOB) analyses, identifying gaps and priorities and monitoring progress to completion Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Planning organization and Value Stream teams Coordinate material movement and planning activities across internal Moog facilities to support business needs Serve as a point of contact for IPO and OSP escalation issues Monitor and support on-time delivery performance of IPO parts Maintain OTIF performance tracking and reporting Perform interplant purchasing activities, including IPO, OTPO, and Sales Order creation and maintenance Ensure accurate and timely Sales Order entry and maintenance within SAP Support overall production control and material planning activities to ensure successful execution of customer commitments Financial Rewards: Great compensation package, annual profit sharing, matching 401k, and the ability to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts Flexible paid time off, holidays and parental leave program Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan ("EAP") and other supplemental benefit coverages Tuition Assistance, mentorship and coaching opportunities, leadership development and other personal growth programs Additional Benefits: Site-specific benefits may also be available depending on location and business needs.
