Someone who can command a dining room, inspire a team, anticipate guest needs, and maintain high standards without sacrificing warmth or authenticity.This is a highly visible leadership position working directly with ownership and Executive Chef Keith Corbin.Key ResponsibilitiesHospitality & Guest ExperienceLead the dining room with a consistent, engaged presence throughout service.Establish and uphold exceptional hospitality and service standards.Ensure a seamless guest experience from arrival through departure.Build meaningful relationships with regulars, VIPs, and first-time guests.Demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, and confidence in resolving guest concerns.Oversee reservation management, seating strategy, and service pacing.Team Leadership & DevelopmentRecruit, train, coach, and retain a high-performing front-of-house team.Lead engaging pre-shift meetings and ongoing hospitality training.Develop team members through consistent feedback, clear expectations, and accountability.Foster a professional, collaborative culture between front-of-house and culinary teams.Maintain a positive work environment grounded in mutual respect and pride in service.Restaurant OperationsOversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure consistency, efficiency, and readiness.Maintain operational standards for cleanliness, organization, safety, and service execution.Manage staffing and scheduling to support both the guest experience and business needs.Work collaboratively with culinary and beverage leadership to ensure seamless execution.Oversee private dining and special event operations in coordination with the events team.Business PerformanceMonitor labor costs, sales performance, and key operating metrics.Manage controllable expenses while maintaining service standards.Identify opportunities to increase guest satisfaction, repeat visits, and revenue.Partner with ownership on operational improvements and financial performance.Maintain accountability for restaurant profitability and business objectives.Required QualificationsMinimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in upscale, fine dining, or highly regarded chef-driven restaurants.At least 2 years in a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or comparable senior restaurant leadership position.Demonstrated ability to lead a polished, high-performing front-of-house team.Strong understanding of dining room operations, service standards, and guest recovery.Experience managing labor, scheduling, operating costs, and restaurant performance metrics.Working knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and contemporary dining service.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to remain composed, decisive, and professional in a fast-paced environment.Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.Our ideal General Manager is someone who:Leads from the floor rather than the office.Understands the difference between providing service and creating genuine hospitality.Notices the small details that shape a guest's experience.Earns the respect of their team through consistency, fairness, and example.Takes ownership of challenges and follows through on solutions.Balances business discipline with warmth, creativity, and care.Understands how to build loyalty and turn first-time guests into regulars.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary commensurate with experienceMedical insuranceEmployee dining discounts alAlta Adams is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
