Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving plant equipment and facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting production goals, and maintaining compliance with company safety standards. The ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years of experience in industrial or manufacturing plant maintenance and possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment, including electrical systems, pumps, boilers, air compressors, forklifts, piping systems, and related machinery.

·         Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment failures and maintenance issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime and restore operations.

·         Conduct routine inspections of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure to identify maintenance needs and potential safety concerns.

·         Create and manage work orders for maintenance activities, tools, replacement parts, suppliers, and equipment purchases.

·         Read, interpret, and utilize equipment schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and operator manuals to ensure repairs and maintenance are performed correctly.

·         Coordinate and communicate effectively with plant personnel regarding maintenance schedules, repairs, and equipment status.

·         Train and direct other employees assisting with maintenance projects as needed.

·         Assist with installation, modification, and improvement of plant equipment and systems.

·         Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.

·         Work within established maintenance budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings, expense reduction, and operational improvements.

·         Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

·         Participate in emergency repairs and respond to maintenance issues outside normal working hours when necessary.

Qualifications:

·         Minimum of three (3) years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, blending, chemical, petroleum, or related plant maintenance.

·         Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

·         Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment with minimal supervision.

·         Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

·         Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance testing devices.

·         Ability to read and understand schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation.

·         Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with operations and production personnel.

·         Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing, bending, kneeling, and working in varying environmental conditions.

·         State of Texas Maintenance Electrician License.

·         OSHA 29 CFR Confined Space Entry Certification.

·         Experience in pump repair and boiler maintenance.

·         Certified Forklift Technician or equivalent training and certification.

·         Experience working in lubricant blending, petroleum, chemical processing, or similar industrial environments.
