Position: Sterile Processing Technician
Location: Surgical Services at Taylor Regional Hospital, Kentucky
Schedule: Full-time position-days


What You'll Do:


• Inspects instruments and equipment prior to processing and notifies Bio-Med, Director/Charge Nurse of needs for repair, replacement, etc.
• Implements steps and procedures to appropriately package materials, identifying contents, inserting control monitors, decreasing contamination, etc.
• Participates in required education, competencies, and annual training.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other team members.
• Follows HIPAA compliance.
• Performs disinfection procedures for the O.R. department and other ancillary departments according to manufacturer guidelines and hospital policies.
• Performs hospital wide quality controls and prepares end of month reports.
• Demonstrates clinical knowledge, skills and abilities to provide efficient (timely) patient care via monitoring scheduled cases, turnover of rooms, etc.


What We're Looking For:


➤ High School Diploma or equivalent
➤ CRCST within 2 years pf taking position
➤ Preferred 1-2+ yrs experience
➤ medical training preferred

➤ Maintain accurate and concise documentation
➤ Prolonged standing and walking throughout shift
➤ Strong organizational skills
➤ Ability to lift 25-50 lbs
