Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Salary : $65,000 annually

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR/Payroll Specialist to support daily human resources and payroll operations for a growing manufacturing organization in Carol Stream. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong HRIS knowledge, payroll processing experience, and a customer-service mindset. Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) systems is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
• Process and maintain accurate payroll records for employees.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Support HR functions including onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and employee relations.
• Maintain and update employee information within the company's HRIS platform.
• Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and reconciliation activities.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, timekeeping, benefits, and HR policies.
• Support HR projects and initiatives as needed.
• Collaborate with management to ensure HR and payroll processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.

Qualifications
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Previous Human Resources experience with generalist responsibilities.
• Required experience working with HRIS systems.
• UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and best practices.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting HR and payroll functions within a manufacturing environment.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Familiarity with benefits administration and employee onboarding processes.
