Mercer Landmark Mill Worker

Mercer Landmark is seeking a full-time Mill Worker to join our team at our St. Anthony feed mill facility. This first-shift position works Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Position Summary

The Mill Worker plays an important role in the daily operation of our feed manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for assisting with feed production, loading and unloading ingredients and finished feed, operating equipment, driving a forklift, and helping maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform a variety of tasks both inside and outside the feed mill facility.
• Assist in the manufacturing and production of livestock feed.
• Load feed trucks and unload incoming ingredients and materials.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine housekeeping and light maintenance duties.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Deliver excellent customer service and support our patrons' success by providing timely and dependable service.
• Assist with other operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask.
• Understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures.
• Forklift experience preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one before employment.
• Willingness to perform physical labor and follow instructions.
• Ability to safely operate equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physically demanding work in varying conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when necessary.
• Understanding of the seasonal demands of the agricultural industry and willingness to work additional hours during peak seasons.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and individuals at all levels of the organization.
