A psychiatric hospital in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for a contract position. This opportunity offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 40 hours per week, with additional hours as needed to cover open shifts. The assignment is expected to last 13+ weeks or until a permanent pharmacist is hired.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and enter medication orders
• Manage and dispense medications using automated dispensing machines
• Collaborate effectively with hospital administrators, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and pharmacy regulations
• Provide excellent communication and support within the psychiatric hospital setting

Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia pharmacist license
• Experience working in a hospital environment preferred
• Proficiency in order entry and verification processes
• Familiarity with automated dispensing machine operations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration
