Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 Years OR Experience Required License: RN License Required Certifications: AHA BLS Required Must-Have: Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center Experience Required Epic Experience Required No First-Time Travelers Accepted Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in the operating room. The nurse will work shifts from 06:45 to 19:15. Flexibility to float between other operating rooms is required. Weekend work is required, including Saturday and Sunday, plus one weekday. No on-call requirements are specified. The unit comprises 41 operating rooms in a Trauma Level 1 facility. Daily patient census is typically between 90 and 110. Experience with general surgery, GU/GYN, neuro, ENT, and plastics is required. The nurse must be proficient in various surgical procedures. Skills needed include abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, craniotomy, cholecystectomy, and more. Candidates must circulate emergent craniotomies. Modules and compliance-related tasks will be necessary upon initiation of the assignment. Nurses should check their email regularly for important communication. Approval for time off is limited during specified periods. Travel experience is required, with a minimum of three years in operating room settings. The role necessitates collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Nurses are required to complete all facility-specific modules as part of the onboarding process. The work environment will include a diverse range of surgical cases.
