Director - North American B2B Secular Shift, Construction & Trades

Lead and execute the Construction & Trades Secular Shift go-to-market strategy across North America Expand Mastercard’s footprint, grow market share, and strengthen its leadership position in Construction & Trades Work cross-functionally across the Commercial and New Payment Flows team to partner and cross-sell solutions Engage clients, identify high-potential opportunities, build the sales pipeline, and close deals Drive commercialization with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Franchise, and Customer Delivery stakeholders Ensure the Construction & Trades needs-based, customer-centric narrative is used internally and with customers and prospects Support client-facing negotiations and lead or co-lead key deals Track and manage pipeline performance using SFDC and commercialization tools and processes Champion internal alignment across product groups, Finance, and Sales Excellence, including senior leadership Develop and promote SMB growth strategies and scalable models for issuer portfolios Create client materials, training sessions, and use-case content for SMB opportunities Abide by Mastercard security policies, protect information confidentiality and integrity, report suspected violations, and complete mandatory security training Requirements Deep, hands‑on understanding of POS and invoice payments in the Construction & Trades segment Understanding of the systems and infrastructure supporting Construction & Trades Understanding of payment options enabled by those systems Understanding of issuer and acquirer behavioral drivers Ability to drive legacy payment flows such as cash, check, and ACH toward card-based solutions Ability to identify high‑value use cases and articulate compelling value propositions Ability to translate strategy into adoption and spend growth Ability to lead through influence across product, sales, marketing, and operations Ability to use quantitative and qualitative insight to prioritize and make decisions Ability to communicate a clear narrative to senior leaders Accountability for business outcomes and continuous improvement Compliance with Mastercard security policies and mandatory security training Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in leading go‑to‑market strategies for Construction & Trades, with a strong focus on client engagement, pipeline management, and cross‑functional collaboration.
