AbouttheRole AsaQualityInspector1atPVBFabrications,youwillplayakeyroleinensuringourfabricatedproductsmeetcustomerrequirements,industrystandards,andinternalqualityexpectations.Thispositionworkscloselywithproductionteamstoinspectmaterialsandfinishedproducts,identifyqualityconcerns,andsupportcontinuousimprovementthroughoutthefabricationprocess. Theidealcandidateisdetail-oriented,knowledgeableinweldingandfabricationprocesses,andpassionateaboutmaintaininghighstandardsofqualityandsafety.Thisroleofferstheopportunitytoapplytechnicalexpertiseinahands-onmanufacturingenvironmentwhilecontributingtothesuccessfuldeliveryofhigh-qualityproductsforourcustomers. PositionSummary Responsibleforinspectingproductsandmaterialsduringmanufacturingtoverifycompliancewithcontractdocuments,jobspecifications,applicablecodes,andindustrystandards.TheQualityInspector1supportsproductionbyidentifyingnonconformances,documentinginspectionresults,andpartneringwiththeteamtoensurequalityrequirementsareconsistentlyachieved. EssentialDuties&Responsibilities Reviewcontractdocuments,shopdrawings,specifications,andapplicablecodesandstandardstoverifyproductcompliance. Performinspectionsoffabricatedproductsusingweldinspectiontools,gauges,andmeasurementequipment. VerifyweldingoperationsareperformedwithinapprovedWeldingProcedureSpecifications(WPS). Identify,document,andcommunicatenonconformancestoproductionleadershipandQualityManagement. Acceptorrejectcompletedproductsbasedonestablishedinspectioncriteria. Maintainaccuratedailyinspectionreportsandqualityrecords. Supportwelderperformancequalificationtestingandcertificationactivities. ApplyindustrystandardsincludingASME,AWSD1.1,API1104,API650,andotherapplicablecodes. Collaboratewithproductionpersonneltoresolvequalityconcernsandimproveprocesses. Performotherdutiesasassigned. Qualifications&Requirements Minimum4yearsofexperienceinweldingandmetalfabrication. CurrentAWSCertifiedWeldingInspector(CWI)orCertifiedAssociateWeldingInspector(CAWI)certificationrequired. Tradeschoolortechnicalcollegeeducationpreferred. StrongunderstandingoffabricationprocessesandNon-DestructiveTesting(NDT)/Non-DestructiveExamination(NDE). Abilitytointerpretshopdrawingsandidentifyfabricationissues. ProficientwithMicrosoftWord,Excel,andOutlook. Strongattentiontodetail,organization,andtimemanagementskills. Effectivecommunicationandinterpersonalskillswiththeabilitytoworkcollaborativelywithproductionteams. Physical&WorkRequirements Light/Mediumphysicaldemandpositionrequiringoccasionallifting,pushing,orpullingupto20lbs. Abilitytoworkinamanufacturingenvironmentwithexposuretotypicalshopconditions,includingnoise,equipment,andindustrialmaterials. Mustfollowallsafetyrequirementsandwearrequiredpersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE),includingsafetyglasses,hearingprotection,andsteel-toefootwear. Full-timeschedule,typicallyMonday–Friday,8–10hoursperday.Overtimemayberequiredbasedonprojectdemands.
