Base pay range $20.00/hr - $22.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Pride Health Pride Health is hiring a Float phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Derby, CT. This is a 3+ month contract with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Pay Rate: $20- $22/hr. on W2. Shift: M onday – Friday: 8am-5pm, Alt Saturday 8am-12pm Duration: 3+ Months *Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications. Job Responsibilities: Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages. Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process. Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms. Adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results Properly handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity. Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by healthcare providers. Apply electrodes and monitor patients during the procedure to ensure quality tracings. Prepare and verify manifests for specimens being sent to external laboratories or for transportation purposes. Job Requirements: 5 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. Float to different work location. Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred. Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
