Registered Nurse Operating Room

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Operating Room to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our state-of-the-art surgical department. As an integral member of a multidisciplinary perioperative team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures, including elective and emergent cases. You will be responsible for circulating and, as appropriate, scrubbing in on procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment, accurate surgical counts, timely preparation of equipment and supplies, and continuous assessment and monitoring of patients before, during, and immediately after surgery. Working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other clinical professionals, you will anticipate patient and physician needs, advocate for patient safety, and support optimal outcomes through meticulous attention to detail and adherence to hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements. You will participate in preoperative patient assessment, patient and family education, intraoperative documentation, and postoperative handoffs, using sound clinical judgment and strong critical-thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
