Analyst, Trade Compliance Operations

Johnson & Johnson seeks an Analyst to support trade compliance operations for import and export transactions. The role involves maintaining product trade data, preparing customs documentation, responding to broker inquiries, and escalating complex issues within the Global Transportation & Trade Operations group based in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update product trade data including classifications and origin information in J&J and global databases
Respond to routine inquiries from customs brokers and internal partners regarding import/export product information
Prepare and organize import/export documentation for customs clearance and government agency compliance
Review shipment information to identify classification, valuation, or documentation concerns for escalation
Support trade compliance initiatives such as duty drawback, free trade agreements, and tariff mitigation projects

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent university qualification
1–3 years of trade compliance, import, or related supply chain experience
Knowledge of HTSUS, ECCN, FDA product codes, and country of origin classification
Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and regulatory requirements
SAP system proficiency for HTS and country of origin processing
Certified Customs Specialist certification preferred
