Warehouse Lead

The role, at a glance: The Warehouse Leadis responsible forplanning,organizingandmonitoringthe receiving, storageand distribution of all items received either from suppliers or theBiampdistribution center. They will help ensureasmooth and consistentoperation,so parts and supplies arelocatedand distributed to properareas in an effective and efficient manner.The Lead is also responsible forassistingwith training new andexisting employees. How you’ll contribute: Coordinate receiving activities to meet daily customer demand Responds to staff needs relating to technical and process issues and offers advice on proper worktechniques and best practices Verifies quality of work performed, ensuring that all process and quality procedures areunderstood and followed by team members Assures allneeded equipmentis in the area for the employees and the equipment is ready for thefollowing shift each day Ensures all safety policies are understood and followed by team members Responsible for leading tiered Daily Management System (DMS) meetings Promotes Continuous Improvement and Lean thinking and initiatives within the team Helps fostera culture of continuous improvement and works collaboratively to deliver measurable processgains Oversees area cyclecountactivities by ensuring procedures arefollowedandongoing inventory counts aremaintainedconsistently Assistin the daily warehouse activities such as inventory counts, picking customer orders, and deliveringmaterial to stockareas. Processpurchase orders and customer returns Monitors,maintainsand communicates all warehouse and employee related issuesin a timelymannerand seeks all available resources to support when needed Encourage open communication and employee engagement to help improve employee morale You’ll also support with: Utilizingfact-based decision making and usingproblem solving skills to improve area performance Leadingand ensuring6S discipline throughout assigned work areas Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor A successful candidate should have: Internal candidates must be at leasta ProductionOperator II Minimum of 3 years related work experience Must be able to work M-F shift from 7am to 3:30pm Proficient with warehouse technology programs suchas,CRM, Infor LN andCogiscanpreferred Must be forklift certified or capable of becoming forklift certified at Biamp Systems within 3months Safelyoperatewarehouse equipment Ability to understand part numbering system Understanding ofLean manufacturing principles Ability to adjust work pace and warehouse schedule in response to daily demand Desire and ability to find and solve problems Ability to work independently and in a team environment May be required to alternate schedules to meet production goals Demonstrates excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and is able to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and diffuse challenging situations using acceptable and appropriate methods Able to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strongattention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint) Work Environment: Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. periodically Stand or sit for long periods Perform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking,stooping and/or bending Work in an environment that generates OSHA-permissible machine noise levels Use tools that require fine hand skills Visually, observe and differentiate small moving parts Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areas What we offer: Medical, Dental, and Vision 3 weeks annual PTO and 9 paid holidays 401(k) + matching Employer-paid base life insurance, short, and long-term disability Health savings accounts (with Biamp contribution) and flexible spending accounts Tuition reimbursement Charitable donation matching Discretionary company achievement bonus Referral bonuses Who is Biamp?
