Contract | Nights | 4x10-Hour Shifts (21:00–07:00)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring to patients recovering from surgical or procedural interventions
• Assess, document, and respond to changes in patient condition throughout the recovery phase
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered, following established PACU protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record system
• Be prepared to serve on an emergency response team and remain at the facility or participate in relief efforts during declared emergency events as directed by unit management

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience required
• Current AHA-issued BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as verified by address on driver's license)
• Current NURSYS report required, dated within 4 weeks of submission
• Two manager or supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RN references are not accepted); references must be submitted in PDF format

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system strongly preferred, particularly for first-time travelers
• Candidates with extensive PACU experience and Epic familiarity will be given priority consideration
