The Reading Surgery Center of the Surgical Institute of Reading (RSC), an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International, offers a high quality, service oriented environment for surgical patients. Our state-of the art facility has three operating rooms and one procedure room, allowing surgeons to perform procedures in the specialty areas of:

Anesthesia, Gynecology, Orthopedic, Orthopedic Foot & Ankle, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery and Podiatry.

Under the supervision of the Business Office Coordinator, organizes and assembles Charts and scans information into computer in a timely and efficient manner to facilitate the flow of patient information to appropriate departments.

Performs required clerical work relating to Charts and scanning.

Keeps medical record complete and in order. Ensures all parts of the medical record are properly identified by patient label.

Enters all scanned information accurately into the computer.

Keeps unit supplied with all necessary stationary and other supplies at all times. Participates in economical utilization of supplies and equipment and orders supplies as necessary with cost awareness.

Assists with phone calls when needed.

Brings unusual patient information (i.e.; Missing Information.) to the attention of Business Office Manager, Supervisor and other staff as necessary.

Maintains a professional demeanor.

Provides pertinent information to staff concerning charts

Communicates openly with the scheduling department.

Will perform any other duties requested by supervisors.

Required Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Previous experience working in a hospital setting required
• Proficient in MS Office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
