Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 49-bed Cardiac/Medical Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Interpret and sign telemetry strips at least once per shift; collaborate with monitor technicians on continuous cardiac monitoring
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, respiratory conditions, GI disorders, diabetes, post-cardiac catheterization, CVA/TIA, and total joint replacement
• Manage set-rate drips including Diltiazem/Cardizem; titration of drips is not required
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and administer breathing treatments
• Float as needed to an East Campus location and potentially to a PCU setting if qualified

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to read and interpret basic telemetry strips
• Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to assignment start
• Availability to work 2 weekends per 4-week schedule and select holiday shifts (Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR strongly recommended due to limited unit orientation (1 shift)
• Prior experience caring for CVA/TIA and total joint replacement patients
• Background in cardiac or telemetry nursing settings
