Key Responsibilities

• Substitute teach and implement lesson plans provided by the absent teacher

• Manage classrooms and encourage active student participation while maintaining a positive learning environment

• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students across Pre-K through 12th grade

• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and playgrounds during assignments

• Deliver in-class assignments based on available lesson plans

• For long-term assignments, collaborate with department heads to ensure continuity with the regular teacher’s structure

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma

• Preferred: Associate degree or 60+ college credit hours

• Prior substitute teaching experience (preferred)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

• Positive, friendly, and professional attitude

• Ability to lead and engage students of all ages while ensuring a safe learning environment

• General knowledge across multiple subjects

• Flexibility to follow or adapt lesson plans as needed

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to handle classroom challenges
