Direct Support Professional - PRN Immediate positions available - Memphis, TN Area $15.68 an hour The primary purpose of the Direct Support Professional is to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who need support to lead a safe, self-directed life to participate fully in their communities. To assist individuals with intellectual disabilities (mild to severe) in leading a self-directed life and contributing to the community. To aid with activities of daily living if needed, and encourage attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide support at home, work, and other community places. Direct Support Professional Skills The job of a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a very significant one. It is important to have compassion, creativity, and integrity when supporting our individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A DSP will assist a person with developmental disabilities to have a meaningful, safe, and self‑directed life, with skills including the following but not limited to: Provide quality care of individuals in their home Ensure supports and services are person‑centered Provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner dietary options for individuals daily Promote physical health and emotional well‑being Provide responsible and accountable financial management Maintain confidentiality Drive individual to doctor’s appointments, school, work, and community‑based activities Support individual to form new relationships Maintain existing relationships Document daily reports electronically Capitol City Residential Healthcare Capitol City Residential Healthcare is currently seeking Direct Support Staff for the following shifts: Part Time: 8am‑8pm or 8pm‑8am PRN: TBD offered by management Capitol City Residential Healthcare 8304 Walnut Grove Rd.
