Pay Range: $23 per hourPosition: The Shipping and Receiving position is responsible for ensuring that finished products are shipped to the Company's customers in a timely and cost-effective manner and unloads raw materials.Responsibilities:Read and understand production cards, production schedules, and loading documentsDetermine the correct equipment that is required to perform the essential job functionsLocate material, check product identification, weight, and stage load to ensure quick and efficient loading of the common carrierVisualize loading plan and determine most efficient and safest way to load finished product on common carriersPrepare loading tallies and complete other paperwork as requiredAbility to work independently and with customers both internal and externalAbility to use bar code reader, RF scanners to ensure that proper product is being loaded, and basic computer skills for printing tagsMaintain good standards of housekeeping in general work area and observe and comply with all safety rules and regulationsQualifications:Experience driving a forklift in a Production EnvironmentAbility to think strategically, solve problemsMust be able to pass pre-employment background, drug/alcohol, and physical screeningsMust be at least 18 years old – due to work environmentMust have basic math skillsMust be able to safely lift 50 lbsJob Type: Full TimeBenefits: Medical Dental Vision Health Savings Account Dependent Care FSA Company Paid Base Life Insurance Life and AD&D Insurance EAP 401(k) – through the Teamsters Union Pension – through the Teamsters Union 9 Paid Holidays Paid vacation & sick timeSchedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm and some overtime.Pay and other information: Union position Teamsters Local 117 Davis Wire is committed to equal opportunity employment.
