Junior Construction Bookkeeper - U.S.-Based Location: Lynnwood, WA 98087 Job Type: Full-time, W2 Salary: $45,000-$55,000 per year (depending on experience) Hedlund Painting Inc. is a full-service commercial and residential painting contractor serving the Pacific Northwest. We are seeking a Junior Construction Bookkeeper to manage financial records, support payroll, and ensure all accounts are accurate and up-to-date. You will work directly with our U.S.-based team, helping maintain organized financial processes for all projects. Key Responsibilities Maintain accounts payable and receivable records for multiple projects. Enter, review, and reconcile transactions in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software. Process weekly payroll entries and ensure accurate job costing. Prepare and maintain organized financial records for internal and project use. Assist in month-end reporting, job costing, and certified payroll documentation. Communicate clearly with team members regarding discrepancies or missing information. Follow standard operating procedures and contribute to process improvements. Qualifications Minimum 2-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online preferred. Experience with construction accounting or job costing is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal). Reliable internet connection and office workspace. Positive, proactive attitude and commitment to accuracy.
