The successful candidate will conduct studies such as steady-state power flow, short circuit, transient stability, voltage stability, and transfer capability to ensure system reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform power flow, short circuit, and stability studies to identify and determine necessary system improvements for maintaining transmission system reliability.Update power flow models to accurately reflect changes in topology, resources, and load.Represent the company on applicable ERCOT and NERC working groups, user groups, and cross-functional teams.Ensure compliance with applicable NERC standards, produce compliance reports, and participate in audit activities.Work cooperatively and jointly with other departments within the company.Required QualificationsEducation: A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university is required.Experience: A minimum of two years of electric utility or power engineering experience is required. This experience must include performing engineering calculations and/or design.Work EnvironmentAble to work in a fast-paced environment with high daily pressure to meet deadlines.Able to work a varied schedule, including occasional scheduled or unscheduled overtime on nights and/or weekends, to complete projects and meet deadlines.Able to work indoors in an office environment.Able to travel as necessary to complete job responsibilities.May be required to remain in the service area during emergency events and assume responsibilities assigned by the company to aide in restoration efforts.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
