Position Summary:

The Travel Financial Center Associate 1 is responsible for providing exceptional client service, operational and audit excellence, while making appropriate referrals. The incumbent is responsible for handling and balancing a cash drawer.

This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay.

This position may be filled at a lower or higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Travel between both Baton Rouge branches is required.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills:

• GED or High school diploma

• 6 months' experience with cash handling or customer service

• Ability to travel across company footprint as needed

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Outlook, Teams

• Developed cognitive skills to include Problem Solving, Judgement, Decision-Making, Organization & Planning

• Developed intrapersonal skills to include Ambition, Follow-Through, Optimism, Tenacity

• Developed interpersonal skills to include Communication: Listening, Speaking, and Writing, Resilience & Balance, Collaboration, Client Focus

• Developed technology skills to include Technical Acumen, Knowledge Management

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills:

• Financial institution experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform all teller transactions

• Responsible for balancing, locating and reconciling discrepancies in cash drawer including end-of-day balancing procedures and reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary

• Contribute to the financial center’s success by achieving assigned referral goals

• Report to a supervisor for approvals when assistance is needed with transactions

• Provide customer assistance to service accounts and perform related duties as required both in-person and over the phone

• Assist supervisor with maintaining accurate reports

• Assist in maintaining branch appearance standards

• Adhere to all bank policies and procedures

• Comply with regulatory rules and regulations evidenced through successful completion of training and demonstrated ability

• Perform other duties and/or special projects as appointed by management

• Physical Requirements: primarily sitting with some standing, walking, lifting and bending
