- Conduct all job duties with Safety as a priority and in compliance with Safety Rules.
- Align with and maintain areas to 5S standards.
- Segregate non-conforming materials according to work instructions.
- Maintain equipment with daily cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Produce quality parts/assemblies and eliminate the cost of non-conformance.
- Perform all required welding, paperwork, quality records, documents, etc.
- Align with all safety and work instructions.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping rules, standards, and clean/restock as the need arises.
- Reduce lead times and optimize production cycle.
- Maintain competitive cost associated to welding including labor, material, gases, consumables, tooling, inventory, etc.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Ability to stand on feet or sit for long periods of time; strength in arms and legs.
- Mechanical aptitude (demonstrated through interest or experience in areas such as automotive, construction, computers, etc.).
- Ability to read and comprehend technical specifications and instructions.
- Ability to read and comprehend weld symbols.
- Use of weld measurement tools and gauges.
- Shop math and ability to complete calculations.
- Pass an entry level weld test regardless of your previous weld experience or certifications.
- Accredited welding school or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2 - 3 years proven experience working with in the welding industry.
- Familiar and efficient with more than one welding process.
