Details Work in a Neuro and Surgical Intensive Care Unit within a Level I Trauma Center Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Weekend rotation required with no on-call responsibilities Floating as needed to other units Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active California RN license required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or ARC) CCRN and TNCC certifications preferred Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required, 4 years preferred Level I Trauma Center experience required Teaching hospital experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Experience with critical care skills including arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, and CRRT/CVVHD Experience managing patients with CVA, TBI, and multisystem organ dysfunction preferred Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to neuro and surgical ICU patients including those requiring hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator support, and renal replacement therapy Manage complex cases involving cardiovascular interventions, neurological emergencies, and multisystem organ dysfunction Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, with only one holiday request approved per contract Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract Returning staff must have a one-year separation period before returning as a traveler Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at local rate Candidates with background check or licensure hits must disclose for facility HR approval First-time travelers considered if all requirements are met American Traveler Job ID P-769106.
