Overview The Fort Lauderdale, FL office of Lewis Brisbois, a full‑service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Practice. Lewis Brisbois is a recognized leader in the area of insurance coverage and claims, focusing on interpreting contracts of all kinds and representing insurers in complex coverage claims. Such representation includes monitoring, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. The firm represents primary and excess insurers, reinsurers, third‑party administrators, managing general agents, insurance brokers and agents, and independent adjustment companies. Although a background in insurance law is preferred, we are also interested in working with developing talented attorneys who come to us with excellent litigation skills. Job Responsibilities Analyze insurance coverage and prepare coverage opinions regarding first‑party property and general liability matters. Take depositions, attend court hearings, draft and argue motions. Represent clients in state and federal courts, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief litigation. Qualifications 2 to 7 years of experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions regarding first‑party property and general liability matters. Litigation experience, including depositions, court hearings, and drafting and arguing motions. Federal court experience required. Admission to the Florida Bar required.
