Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
• Handle retail sales transactions efficiently using our POS systems - clover
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, food prep stations, and seating spaces in accordance with food safety standards
• Manage cash handling duties accurately, including cash register operations and balancing cash drawers at shift end
• Assist in food preparation and serving, ensuring quality standards are met for all menu items
• Support food safety protocols by following proper handling procedures and maintaining a hygienic environment

Requirements

• Prior barista experience or background in food service is preferred, but enthusiasm to learn is highly valued
• Familiarity with Clover POS System is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and transaction accuracy
• Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and proper serving techniques
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in café operations
• Experience with retail sales transactions, cashiering, or food industry roles is advantageous
• Must provide a certificate from a state of Ohio approved Person in Charge food safety course
