- Join a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of veterans and their families.
- Play a vital role in shaping the employee experience, from recruitment and onboarding through employee engagement and retention.
- Gain broad exposure to all aspects of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management.
- Partner with organizational leadership and contribute to initiatives that support a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including sourcing, interviewing, background checks, and onboarding.
- Assist with the administration of compensation, benefits, leave programs, and other HR initiatives.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Support employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, and training initiatives.
- Participate in investigations, disciplinary processes, and other sensitive employee matters as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies.
- Monitor HR trends, employment law updates, and best practices to support continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of Human Resources experience, preferably within a nonprofit, healthcare, social services, or mission-driven environment.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or another HR certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and EEO regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms, including ADP Workforce Now.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and navigate organizational facilities as needed.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
