LPN Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports the daily operations of a plasma donation center, including screening donors, managing adverse events, reviewing lab results, and coordinating with medical personnel. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent, conduct medical history interview, perform physical exams, perform blood testing, and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions and handle medical emergencies per SOPs, coordinate with Center Physician’s standing orders, and arrange transport for donor emergencies. Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for findings requiring medical judgement. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees, and manage employee incidents for occupational health. Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or completion of a nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or certified as LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities are assigned. Current CPR and AED certification. Basic IV therapy knowledge as required by state. Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. At least two years of clinical or hospital experience. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Actual wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. Pay will comply with state and local minimum wage requirements.
