Job Description
We are currently seeking a Compliance Manager to join a client in Grapevine, TX. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The role is 100% onsite.The Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and enforcing the organization's compliance programs, policies, and procedures. This role ensures adherence to applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies across all business operations. The Compliance Manager serves as a trusted advisor to leadership, identifies and mitigates compliance risks, leads audits and investigations, and promotes a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Compliance Management, Risk Assessment & Reporting (80%)
- Develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs, policies, procedures, and internal control systems.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of compliance controls and recommend continuous improvements to strengthen regulatory adherence.
- Identify compliance risks, non-conformities, and control gaps, and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
- Ensure company policies and procedures remain aligned with applicable federal, state, local, and industry regulations.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on organizational operations.
- Conduct regular compliance audits, assessments, and reviews across facilities, departments, and business processes.
- Investigate compliance incidents, allegations, violations, and breaches, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Establish and maintain a consistent process for managing compliance violations and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with department leaders to ensure regulatory requirements are understood and effectively implemented.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to managers and employees on compliance-related matters.
- Develop and deliver compliance education programs and best practices throughout the organization.
- Prepare detailed reports, compliance metrics, and risk assessments for senior leadership.
- Maintain effective compliance communication programs that promote awareness and accountability.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, auditors, and industry organizations as needed.
- Attend seminars, conferences, workshops, and industry events to stay current on compliance trends and regulatory changes.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships across all departments to support compliance initiatives.
- Partner with Human Resources and company leadership to develop and deliver onboarding and ongoing compliance training programs.
- Develop and maintain systems and databases for the secure storage, retention, and retrieval of compliance documentation.
- Monitor facility security systems, including cameras, alarms, and access-control systems, to support regulatory and operational requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies, reduce risk, and strengthen internal controls.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Foster a positive, ethical, and compliance-focused workplace culture.
- Promote a safe, healthy, and inclusive work environment that supports employee well-being.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external customers, suppliers, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on compliance-related matters.
- Lead cross-functional compliance initiatives and drive accountability throughout the organization.
- Support organizational objectives while ensuring adherence to all applicable compliance requirements.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Management, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field required.
- Master's degree or other advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive compliance experience, including demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
- Experience managing enterprise compliance programs, regulatory audits, and risk assessments.
- Knowledge of operational, financial, quality, environmental, health and safety, and human resources compliance requirements.
- Experience maintaining and supporting ISO certifications, including:
- ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems)
- ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems)
- ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems)
- ISO 13485 (Medical Device Quality Management Systems)
- Experience working with regulatory agencies, external auditors, and accreditation bodies preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, investigative, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships across all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
- Professional compliance certifications (e.g., CCEP, CHC, CRCM, ISO Lead Auditor) are preferred.
