Hardware EngineerAs a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for advanced research, new product development, and support for existing product manufacturing operations in the primary market segments including satellite communication, satellite-based navigation systems, 4G and 5G systems, and advanced phased array and beamforming antenna systems.The position is based in Germantown, MD.Your work at Maxtena will include:Design of electronic and electromechanical circuits, schematics, PCB fabrication packages, and systems to support new product development and ongoing productionPrototype and evaluate electronic and electromechanical devices for new product development and ongoing productionHardware prototype construction and testingInterface with sales, customers, and other technical staffPerform feasibility studies by leveraging simulation toolsRequirements:Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearanceB.S. in Electrical Engineering, MSEE or PhD preferred5+ years of industry experienceExperience working with hardware/electrical equipment design, testing, or productionKnowledge of electronics engineering and the design and development of electronic hardwareDemonstrated experience working with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer7+ years of experience with multi-layer PCB layout, including prototyping, SMT, RF, mixed-signal design, high-speed digital design, and high-density layoutDemonstrated knowledge in signal integrity, RF microstrip impedance basics, and low EMI practicesDemonstrated experience with DFMDemonstrated experience in working with teamsExceptionally detail-orientedCreative with exceptional problem-solving skillsPerks of working at Maxtena:Developing innovative, meaningful products from scratchA dynamic, innovative, and productive workplaceCutting-edge technology & high-tech labContinuous career growth opportunitiesCompetitive compensation packageMedical, Dental, Vision & Life InsuranceTuition ReimbursementPaid Parental Leave401K matchFlextimeFun & games eventsCoffee, sweets, & much more...Maxtena is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
