This role involves working with large-scale databases, ensuring data integrity, optimizing replication performance, and supporting cloud or on-premises database environments.Key Responsibilities:Design & Implementation:Design, develop, and implement Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) replication solutions for data integration, migration, and high-availability use cases.Set up and configure OGG Extract, Pump, Replicat, and Trail Files for both unidirectional and bidirectional replication.Implement DDL and DML replicationstrategies to ensure seamless data synchronization.Optimize OGG parameter files, memory settings, and checkpoint tables for efficient performance.Data Pipeline & Integration:Build real-time CDC (Change Data Capture) pipelines using Oracle GoldenGate.Integrate OGG with Oracle Database (12c, 19c, 21c), PostgreSQL, Snowflake, AWS RDS, and other cloud-based platforms.Support heterogeneous replication (Oracle to Non-Oracle databases like SQL Server, MySQL, Kafka, etc.).Performance Tuning & Monitoring:Monitor GoldenGate performance using GGSCI, Performance Metrics, and GoldenGate Monitor.Troubleshoot replication lag, errors, and bottlenecks to ensure high availability.Implement best practices for high-throughput replication and tuning GoldenGate processes.Maintenance & Support:Perform OGG upgrades, patches, and version migrations.Develop backup and recovery strategies for OGG processes.Provide production support for critical data replication issues and performance tuning.Collaboration & Documentation:Work closely with DBAs, Data Engineers, and Cloud Architects to align replication strategies with business needs.Document GoldenGate architectures, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and train junior engineers on OGG best practices.Required Skills & Qualifications:Technical Expertise:5+ years of experience in Oracle GoldenGate implementation and administration.Strong understanding of Oracle databases (12c/19c/21c), SQL, and PL/SQL.Experience with GoldenGate on Oracle RAC, Exadata, or cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).Knowledge of heterogeneous database replication (Oracle to PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, etc.).Experience with Kafka, Big Data pipelines, or message queuing systems is a plus.Performance Optimization:Strong experience in tuning OGG Extract, Pump, and Replicat processes.Expertise in troubleshooting latency issues and optimizing trail file management.Cloud & DevOps Experience (Preferred):Exposure to GoldenGate Cloud Service (GGCS), GoldenGate for Big Data, or OCI GoldenGate.Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes for OGG automation.Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have):Oracle GoldenGate Specialist CertificationOracle Database Administrator (OCP)AWS/Azure Database CertificationsSRI Tech Solutions is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, national origin or citizenship status or ethnic origin, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other occupationally irrelevant criteria.
