Summer Field Trip Camp Assistant Director – St. Louis (Mooney Park) Field Trip Dates : 8/3/2026 - 8/21/2026 Field Trip Hours : 8:45 am – 5:45 pm (actual shifts may vary) Hourly Wage : $18.25–$20.75 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. About the Role : Steve & Kate’s Field Trip program offers campers opportunities for exploration, creativity, and play. We seek motivated, energetic individuals—babysitters, teachers, coaches, athletes, artists—who inspire confidence and curiosity in children and embody our philosophy of radical trust. Responsibilities Chaperone field trips, ensuring safety and wellbeing of all campers. Travel by bus to multiple stops and manage group dynamics. Actively supervise campers and maintain a positive environment. Enforce Camp Policies and respond to any incidents or injuries. Track and manage camper allergies and dietary restrictions. Assist in camp set‑up, breakdown, and upkeep of activity spaces. Qualifications Minimum 18 years of age. At least 2 months of experience working with children of camp age; 1 year preferred. First Aid & CPR certification prior to Day1 (additional certifications may be required at certain locations). Ability to remain calm under pressure and lead groups independently while collaborating with a team. Passion for sharing learning opportunities and supporting self‑directed play. Physical Requirements Compliance with all health and safety regulations. Stand for extended periods during supervision. Participate in athletic games.
