Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department, requiring at least 1 year of relevant experience, ARRT (N) or CNCT certification, and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department
• Performs diagnostic nuclear medicine studies and assists with therapeutic radiopharmaceutical administrations
• Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM (8-hour shifts) with rotating on-call
• 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
• No weekend or holiday shifts required
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
• Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology or a college diploma in a related field
• Current BLS (AHA) certification
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine (IEMA) required; license required if applicable
• One of the following certifications required: Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT) or ARRT registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Serves as a technical resource and subject matter expert for staff, management, and physicians in Nuclear Medicine/PET
• Oversees patient scheduling and workflow to maximize departmental efficiency
• Participates in QA/QC programs and directs staff in maintaining accreditation, licensure, and safety standards
• Assists with developing training programs and evaluating technical skills of staff
• Aids in the annual review and updates of department policies and protocols
• Performs on-call duties and variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs
• Performs coaching with staff and collaborates on workflow organization
• Candidate interviews are conducted by the facility leader
• RTO is not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not be on continuous assignment for more than 1 year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system
