MRR is hiring Field Technicians to work hands-on with mechanical systems, piping, tanks, pumps, valves, and controls at job sites across the U.S. Every project is different, and your trade experience gives you a strong head start. We provide full training. What we're looking for is solid trade fundamentals, a safety-first mindset, and someone comfortable working in the field. What You’ll Do- Install, remove, and maintain odorization systems including tanks, piping, tubing, pumps, sensors, and fittings.
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Work with pressurized systems, valves, and fluid transfer equipment.
- Safely transfer odorants and assist with spill response when needed.
- Support natural gas pipeline pickling and commissioning projects.
- Read and interpret mechanical diagrams and schematics.
- Complete work orders, DOT documentation, and field reports using a tablet.
- Travel to project sites across the U.S. by vehicle or air.
Required qualifications:
- Completion of post-secondary technical school or college program in mechanical or electrical engineering, pipefitting, HVAC or equivalent trade experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
- Ability to understand mechanical drawings, piping layouts, or schematics.
- Physically capable of working outdoors and on your feet.
- Safety-minded with strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Comfortable using basic technology for documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Oil and gas field operations or instrumentation.
- HVAC installation or service.
- Welding, pipefitting, or fabrication.
- Mechanical or industrial maintenance.
- Utilities, construction, or industrial trades.
- Competitive pay plus per diem for travel days.
