Overview Job Title: Chemist II (Open) Location: Dallas, TX Air Liquide Electronics provides ultra‑pure carrier gases, specialty gases, and advanced precursor molecules to customers in industries such as semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace, solar, energy storage, and automotive. The laboratory performs quality assurance, contamination studies, R&D, and failure analysis for Air Liquide and external clients. Benefits Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Comprehensive Family Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, Disability Insurance Support for Parents: Up to 14‑week paid child‑birth benefits Future Security: 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match, Tuition Assistance, Paid Holidays, Vacation, Sick time Early Access: Benefits start day 1 Responsibilities Partner with customers through comprehensive communication Collaborate with internal and external customers on laboratory concerns or data reporting Facilitate laboratory operation and uphold success of job functions Contribute to solution‑finding and partner on solutions to system‑related problems with distribution systems through analytical trending and special experimental studies Champion and practice safe laboratory and chemical handling protocols Present data and project results to customers Identify and source laboratory equipment and reagents Collaborate with the Site Manager on laboratory operations via reports and meetings Serve as the Chemical Hygiene Officer for the laboratory and support employees in understanding methods to protect themselves from chemical hazards Support analysts and scientists as needed Trend data and investigate data trends Use analytical and solution‑finding skills to address customer needs related to chemicals and contamination in the customer’s manufacturing process Develop studies for special analytical projects to satisfy customer needs Write, edit and review SOPs Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the laboratory Identify the most effective reagents and lab supplies to be used by the lab and for various specific types of measurements Write multi‑technique and inter‑lab reports that connect all results together Send non‑routine reports Perform the majority of analyses pertaining to a particular lab; provide full QC and review of these techniques Welcome external auditor questions and perform analysis demonstrations for auditors Guide routine operations Provide quotes for both routine and non‑routine analyses and fully engage with the customer Partner in the development of new analytical methods to improve the products and services provided to customers Maintain and adapt instruments to meet research goals Align with the established Quality System and share quality deficiencies for improvement Uphold accuracy and consistency of data Uphold proper data entry of analysis results Maintain current procedures related to Laboratory Operations via Maximo Perform sampling at client’s facility as assigned and complete all other additional assignments as required Perform routine and extensive non‑routine analyses and other lab procedures as required Provide technical expertise and mentorship for chemists, laboratory technicians, and service technicians Takes ownership of evaluation, interpretation, and verification of analytical data Follow the established Quality System and report any quality deficiency for team resolution Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science discipline with 3+ years of experience OR Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related science with 2+ years of experience Good problem‑solving skills, innovative and resourceful Meet or exceed all company safety procedures and standards Proficient computer skills such as LIMS and the Google platform Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture and a safe working environment in the laboratory Preferred Qualifications Experience in the semiconductor industry Experience in the industrial gas industry #J-18808-Ljbffr Air Liquide
