Temporary: Yes Season Dates: 11/2/2026 – 2/6/2027 Salary: $2,431.00 Essential Functions Assess student athletes for the purpose of providing feedback or determining team placement. Attend meetings, workshops, conferences for role‑related information. Communicate with parents, students, officials, administrators and community. Instruct student athletes to promote growth in skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. Maintain records (game statistics, insurance, permission forms, schedules, equipment inventories) to comply with requirements. Manage uniforms, equipment and facilities responsibly. Monitor academic eligibility and provide intervention when needed. Supervise athletes during participation to ensure a safe environment. Teach techniques, rules, strategies and tactics for competition preparedness. Other Functions Perform related duties as assigned to ensure effective work unit function. Job Requirements Skills: Adapt to changing priorities; administer first aid; apply laws, codes, policies, and regulations; organize and communicate information. Knowledge: Basic math; interpret technical information; write technical materials; analyze situations; understand equipment use; injury prevention; eligibility guidelines; public relations protocols; safety practices. Abilities: Schedule activities; collate data; work with diverse individuals; solve problems; lead; maintain confidentiality; enforce sportsmanship; motivate athletes; provide fair discipline; manage extended hours. Responsibility Responsibilities include working under limited supervision, directing others within a small work unit, and utilizing resources from other units as required. Work Environment Physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; fine finger dexterity; 20% sitting, 40% walking, 40% standing; exposure to temperature extremes and injury risks. Experience and Education Job‑related experience required. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Testing, Certificates & Licenses Required: Criminal Background Clearance; Valid Arizona DPS Level I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
