We're building more than infrastructure; we are building your future.General SummaryThis position provides advanced professional accounting support to the General Accounting department related to the maintenance, processing and analysis of accounting records in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures.Essential Job AccountabilitiesEstablish, interpret, and analyze complex accounting records to support strategic decision making and ensure compliance with GAAPPrepare, review, and post journal entries to support the monthly close processReview of financial reports to ensure the accuracy and clarity of information presentedPrepare selected balance sheet reconciliations, and analysis, to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAPParticipate in monthly review of financial package to ensure the accuracy of financial information and to assist in strategic decision makingRespond to inquiries from Management/Executives, related to monthly financial package, to ensure clear communication and high level of customer serviceAssist Manager with research related inquiries to support strategic decision makingPerform special projects and additional assignments, as assigned, to support the departmentParticipate in cross training efforts that support personal development and provide departmental coverageEducationBachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting, requiredCPA designation a plusWork Experience5+ years of progressive accounting experienceLarge enterprise system experience (JD Edwards/Oracle e1 experience a plus).Knowledge, skills, and abilitiesAdvanced technical knowledge of US GAAPExcellent MS Office Suite skills and advanced computer spreadsheet skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challengesAttention to detail, quick learner and internally motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, and develop new skills.Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure, changing priorities and tight timelines/deadlinesStrong written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate informationTeam player who can operate effectively within a matrix management environmentPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
