Required License/Registration/Certification - Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements - This position requires use of a computer workstation, completion of tasks with repetitive motions, and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds. This position may require personnel to wear personal protective equipment to reduce risk of exposure to work-related hazards (e.g. handling of hazardous medications).

Shift - 1st shift; 7:00am 7:00pm or 7:00am 5:30pm; 7 days on/7 days off (Wednesday through Tuesday).

Job Summary - The Inpatient Pharmacy Senior Technician is responsible for maintaining stock inventory, including participating in the ordering process and ensuring proper storage and dating; processing, dispensing and delivering patient specific orders to assigned areas with timeliness and efficiency; replenishing automated medication dispensing cabinets; assisting in the training of newly hired technicians, interns and student learners, and supporting the department with a patient-centered approach. Preferred Education/Experience - Hospital/retail pharmacy technician and/or healthcare customer service experience preferred
