Company Overview 

Insulation Holdings, LLC is the parent company of two established mechanical insulation contractors in Alaska: 

Alaska Insulation Supply (AIS) — AIS is an Anchorage-based insulation distributor, fabricator, and installer of industrial insulation products and services with facilities in Anchorage, Kenai, and Juneau. 

Industrial Insulation (II) — II is a Fairbanks-based industrial insulation fabricator and installer serving Interior and remote Alaska. 

Together, these companies employ more than 30 people and have $10 million+ in combined annual revenue. Both companies are union and provide insulation services to general and mechanical contractors throughout Alaska. The companies were brought together under common ownership in late 2025, and significant progress has been made integrating back-office functions, standardizing systems, and building a shared leadership team. Insulation Holdings is on a clear growth trajectory and is investing in technology, people, and operational infrastructure to support its next phase. 

Position Summary 

The Group CEO will be the senior operating leader of Insulation Holdings — responsible for the performance, strategic direction, and continued integration of both companies. This is a hands-on role. The right person is comfortable on a job site, with senior leadership of our customers, and with the Board of Directors of Insulation Holdings. They’ll lead the charge to build a unified company from two strong local businesses, while looking for opportunities to grow the company both organically and through further acquisitions. 

This position can be based in Anchorage or Fairbanks with regular travel to the other location and, as needed, to project sites across the state. The position will report to the five-member board of Insulation Holdings.

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Leadership 

\n
• Set and execute the strategic direction for both operating companies, working closely with the Board of Directors 
\n
• Develop annual and multi-year plans that align operational priorities with financial targets and growth goals 
\n
• Represent Insulation Holdings to customers, industry partners, and the broader Alaska business community 
\n

Integration 

\n
• Lead the ongoing integration of AIS and II — standardizing systems, while preserving the local strengths and customer relationships each company has built 
\n
• Build and document standard operating procedures that create a consistent way of working across both locations 
\n
• Leverage emerging technologies like AI to streamline operations and enhance productivity 
\n

Customer Relationships & Business Development 

\n
• Own and strengthen relationships with key customers: Alaska-based mechanical and general contractors 
\n
• Build the company’s Distribution business based in Anchorage by participating in sales and account development with top customers 
\n
• Identify opportunities to expand into adjacent markets and geographies 
\n

Operations 

\n
• Oversee day-to-day operations across both companies, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget 
\n
• Lead pipeline and bid strategy reviews; guide the team on project selection, pricing, and risk assessment 
\n
• Drive operational improvements in estimating, project management, procurement, and field execution, by building data-driven decision-making into the organizations 
\n
• Coordinate resource sharing and collaboration between Anchorage and Fairbanks 
\n
• Develop and execute a strategy for AIS’s distribution business — optimizing product mix, inventory management, vendor relationships, and growth targets 
\n

Financial Performance 

\n
• Own the P&L for Insulation Holdings and both operating companies 
\n
• Partner with the Head of Finance to monitor performance, manage cash flow, and maintain working capital discipline 
\n
• Develop and manage annual budgets; deliver results against financial targets 
\n

People & Culture 

\n
• Lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of functional leaders across estimating, operations, administration, and finance 
\n
• Build a culture rooted in quality workmanship, customer service, integrity, and accountability 
\n
• Drive workforce recruitment and retention in a tight skilled-trades labor market 
\n
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with union hall leadership to support labor recruitment, retention, and workforce planning 
\n

Qualifications 

Required 

\n
• Significant leadership experience in an environment that requires skill in managing people and resources in a project based industry 
\n
• Proven track record managing a P&L and delivering financial results 
\n
• Experience integrating teams, systems, or operations — particularly through transitions like ERP implementations, process standardization, or post-acquisition consolidation 
\n
• Experience building and managing teams of leaders across multiple locations or business units 
\n
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships 
\n
• Comfort with technology and comfortable with an approach that looks to use modern tools to improve how work gets done 
\n
• Strong communication skills across formats — in person, on the phone, on video, and on a job site 
\n
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly within Alaska, including to remote project sites as needed 
\n

Preferred 

\n
• Existing relationships within Alaska’s construction, mechanical contracting, or oil & gas industries 
\n
• Familiarity with the Alaska market — its unique logistics, seasonal dynamics, and business environment 
\n
• Background in insulation, mechanical contracting, or other related specialty trades 
\n
