WORKING REQUIREMENTS In-office - Downtown Kansas City, Missouri ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Construction Disbursement Coordinator is a full-time position that collaborates with MHDC's Affordable Housing Division. We are seeking a highly organized administrative professional with strong attention to detail to support financial tracking, project coordination, and operational processes across departments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, reconciling information across multiple sources, and keeping complex projects on track. Experience in budgeting, financial reconciliation, or project coordination, particularly in real estate development and other multi-stakeholder environments, is highly valued. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Track and reconcile project budgets, invoices, and financial records across multiple funding sources. Monitor expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to collect, verify and organize documentation. Support contract and vendor tracking, including invoice review and payment coordination. Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with internal policies and funding requirements. Prepare reports, summaries, and supporting documentation for leadership stakeholders. Identify discrepancies and follow through to resolution. Assist with process improvement to increase efficiency and accuracy. Maintain and protect confidential information. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERENCES A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. 3-5+ years of experience in administrative, financial, or operations support roles. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of information accurately. Experience with budget and financial tracking and reconciliation. Experience supporting construction projects, capital projects, or grant-funded programs preferred. SKILLS Excellent written and oral communication, with the ability to communicate with individuals or groups by phone or in person. Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Project management and organization. Ability to operate well as part of a team or independently. Openness and adaptability to quickly changing workloads and deadlines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
