About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Active RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: ICU experience Description: The ICU unit has a total of 12 beds. There are 32 staff members working on the unit. Staff includes day shift director, manager, clinical coordinator, registered nurses, externs, and paramedics. Night shift staff consists of registered nurses and externs. Patient ratios range from 1:1, 2:1, to 3:1. Typical equipment in use includes Tablo, IABP, Impella, Brain Cool, Swan Ganz, BIS, Vigilance, Baxter, Hemosphere, and Pyxis EMR Meditech. The most recruited skill set includes ACLS and BLS. ICU experience is necessary for consideration. Cardiac experience is preferred. Common procedures performed on the unit include TVP, TCP, post cath, sheath removal, bedside trach, and SLED. The ideal candidate will have a team-focused personality. No block scheduling is guaranteed. Every other weekend is required, with no on-call duties.
