Scrum Master

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master for a contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in Brooklyn, OH. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. Pay range: $70.00 per hour The Scrum Master plays a meaningful role in delivering high-quality modern software solutions as part of a cross‑functional agile scrum team. This role will be accountable for acting as a leader to the scrum team, surfacing and resolving team‑level sprint risks and roadblocks while facilitating scrum ceremonies. This role will also act as a change agent, evangelizing the tenets of agile and scrum across the client's Technology, Operations and Service initiatives. Responsibilities: Act as a Change Agent with a passion for supporting teams to transform their behaviors toward an agile environment Facilitate Scrum processes and events enabling team maturity and effectiveness leveraging data driven metrics Create an agile mindset with focus on agile value and principles leading with transparency, inspection, and adaptation resulting in delivery of high value increments which meet the Definition of Done Enable teams to develop sprint goals, robust product backlogs, acceptance criteria, definitions of done / ready Facilitate program level agile ceremonies to include dependency mapping, release planning and scope alignment across Product teams Enable the removal of impediments to the Scrum Team's progress Facilitate communication and partnership inside and outside the team to include stakeholder engagement Protect the team from distractions allowing for focus to meet sprint and program commitments Promote self‑organization and cross‑functionality of the team coaching each role to enable high performance of the team Requirements: Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience 6+ years working in an agile environment as a development team member, Scrum Master or Product Owner 5+ years working as a Scrum Master Expert in facilitation, problem solving and influencing outcomes Expert knowledge of best practices in value driven development (requirements management, prototyping, hypothesis driven development, usability testing) Expert knowledge of agile tool suites including Atlassian (Jira and Confluence), MS Teams, Monday.com or similar agile management tools Desired skills: Experience as a Project Manager in a waterfall environment. Familiarity with both agile and waterfall is a bonus Demonstrated experience with large‑scale enterprise agile transformation with experience as a Scrum Master in a scaled environment Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
