Lead Software Engineer - React (Corporate Technology)

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal degree or certification in software engineering concepts, with 5+ years of applied experience developing user interfaces and hands-on experience with React
• Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and the software development lifecycle
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline, such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems
• Practical cloud-native experience
• Commercial experience developing, debugging, and automated testing, such as with React Testing Library or Cypress
• Experience collaborating with backend teams to design scalable, reusable RESTful APIs
• Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, or troubleshooting, and setting expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency expectations; experience coaching engineers in safe, compliant adoption
• Preferred: Exposure to frontend libraries such as ag-Grid, Highcharts, and Redux, as well as TypeScript
• Preferred: Experience tuning the performance of complex user interfaces
• Preferred: Experience in investment banking or financial technology
• Preferred: Team management experience
• Preferred: Experience with DevOps, Kubernetes, and cloud auto-scaling infrastructure

• Create software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting, using creative approaches to solve complex technical problems
• Drive architectural decisions for distributed systems, including event-driven pipelines, CQRS patterns, and real-time data streaming
• Develop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring issues to improve the operational stability of applications and systems
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical capabilities, and fit with existing systems and information architecture
• Lead software engineering communities of practice to build awareness and adoption of emerging technologies
• Collaborate with UX designers and product owners to turn requirements into intuitive screens and user flows
• Foster a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes; establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, and automated testing, and encourage reuse of effective patterns
