POSITION OPENING: PLANNING & CODE ENFORCEMENT SECRETARY The City of Camden, Arkansas, is now accepting applications for the position of Planning and Code Enforcement Secretary. This vital position supports city operations by handling public inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with ordinance enforcement. Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate: $13.23 $15.23 per hour (dependent on experience). Benefits: Full fringe benefit package included Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities Public Communication: Corresponds and converses with property owners concerning zoning, subdivisions, building, electrical, and plumbing permits. Administrative Support: Attends all meetings of the Planning Commission, takes official minutes, keeps comprehensive records, and makes reports of inspections. Enforcement Assistance: Prepares cases for legal action and is responsible for enforcing compliance with the Citys zoning ordinance and nuisance ordinances. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalent GED. Technical Skills: Proficient computer and digital literacy skills. Licensure: Must hold and maintain a valid drivers license. Applications for first consideration must be received by 2:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2026.
