Job Title Global Trade Compliance Manager – Commercial Aircraft Group Location East Aurora, NY (Hybrid – Buffalo, NY) Reporting To Director, Gbl Trade Compliance Work Schedule Hybrid – office in East Aurora, NY with potential travel Overview The Global Trade Compliance Manager works closely with the Commercial Aircraft Group (CAG) to ensure compliance with domestic and international trade regulations. The role collaborates with Business Development, Supply Chain, Contracts, Engineering, and Finance to develop trade compliance strategies and maintain regulatory alignment across the organization. Key Responsibilities Actively participate in business development, defense strategy, and senior leadership meetings, providing guidance and trade‑related solutions. Research and recommend trade parameters for countries outside the host nation to support CAG’s expansion. Guide the business on compliance with trade laws for new locations and prioritize high‑volume trade requirements. Collect and review trade‑related requirements; prioritize, validate, and coordinate with the Group Trade Compliance team for timely authorizations, including metrics and automation. Assist the Global Trade Compliance Director with acquisitions and divestitures. Apply trade compliance knowledge to a commercial aerospace manufacturing environment. Obtain, facilitate, perform, document, and record commodity and technology classifications for the Commercial Aircraft Division using Moog‑authorized systems. Support investigations, projects, and other trade‑related issues, and craft and submit license applications/authorizations and Technology Control Plans. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred. Over seven (7) years of direct experience with export/import tasks and regulations. Over three (3) years in program/project management. Preference for candidates with manufacturing and defense‑technology experience. Demonstrated subject‑matter expertise in U.S. Export/Import regulations (ITAR, EAR, ATF, OFAC). International trade compliance experience is a plus. Experience with ERP and trade‑specific tools such as SAP, GTS, OCR EASE, SNAP‑R, DECCS, and ATF electronic submission process. Proficiency in project‑management tools (MS Project / Planner, Azure Dev Ops / Jira), PowerPoint, and data/BI tools (Excel, PowerBI, Tableau). Strong stakeholder‑engagement skills across diverse cultures and time zones. Strong speaking and documentation skills. Must be able to train, listen, and educate others. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to twice per month). Must live locally in the Buffalo, NY area. Additional certifications such as PMP or PMI‑ACP are beneficial. Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of Moog’s salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is one component of Moog’s total compensation package.
