Property Maintenance Technician

Location: Salem, OR
PAY: $24-$26 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Thursday & Saturday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Duration: Approximately 2 months, beginning mid-September
Employment Type: Temporary

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a temporary assignment at a large apartment community in Salem. This position will work in both occupied and unoccupied units and is ideal for someone with general apartment, property, facilities, or building maintenance experience.

Job Duties

Complete maintenance work orders submitted by tenants
Perform general maintenance and repairs in occupied units
Prepare vacant apartments to be rent-ready
Perform basic plumbing repairs
Perform basic electrical repairs
Complete general repairs and maintenance throughout the property
Troubleshoot routine maintenance issues
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Communicate professionally with tenants and property staff

Qualifications

Previous maintenance experience required
Apartment, property, facilities, or general building maintenance experience preferred
Working knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical repairs
Ability to work in both occupied and vacant units
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Professional communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple work orders
