Negotiable Job Description Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Ophthalmologist Physician, you will become a key contributor to Mercy Medical Group's established clinic in Folsom, a leading multi-specialty group in the Sacramento region. This high-impact role allows you to deliver comprehensive eye care, utilizing your expertise to diagnose, treat, and surgically manage a wide range of ocular conditions, significantly improving the vision and quality of life for our diverse patient population. Every day you will perform comprehensive eye examinations, precisely diagnosing and developing treatment plans for various eye diseases and conditions. Your procedural expertise will be essential as you conduct surgical interventions, including advanced cataract surgery (traditional and Femtosecond laser), Pterygium, MIGS, and laser procedures such as iridotomies, capsulotomies, and SLT. You will also provide expert patient counseling, prescribe and manage medications, and actively collaborate with optometrists and primary care physicians to ensure integrated and optimal patient outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will be a Board Certified/Board Eligible Ophthalmologist with a strong surgical skill set, particularly in the listed procedures. You will possess a commitment to continuous learning, staying abreast of the latest advancements in ophthalmology, and a patient-centered approach to care. - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
