Locum Anesthesiologist - Jacksonville, Florida

Location: Jacksonville, Florida | Employment Type: Locum/Per Diem | Compensation: $400-$450 Per Hour

The Opportunity

A well-established and highly regarded multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking an experienced locum Anesthesiologist for vacation coverage and sporadic days throughout the remainder of 2026. This is an outstanding locum opportunity offering exceptional hourly compensation, an 8-hour daily guarantee, and a diverse and rewarding multi-specialty case mix in a clean and efficient outpatient surgical environment. With the ability to work independently and no call obligations this position delivers outstanding earning potential and flexibility for the right candidate. At a Glance

• Location: Jacksonville, Florida
• Employment Type: Locum/Per Diem
• Compensation: $400-$450 per hour
• Daily Guarantee: 8 hours - no 10 hour guarantees
• Schedule: Cases start at 7:30AM - occasional earlier or later starts
• Cases per day: 5-20 depending on surgeons and case types
• Number of ORs: 5
• Team: 1 MDA + 1-3 CRNAs per day
• Providers work independently
• Ultrasound guided blocks - required
• No call
• EMR charting
• Credentialing timeframe: Up to 30 days - temporary privileges available
• Coverage dates: September 24-25, 2026 - additional dates throughout remainder of 2026

• Orthopedics
• Neuro/Spine
• Pain Management
• Podiatry
• GI

Compensation

• $400-$450 per hour
• 8 hour daily guarantee
• No call obligations
• Temporary privileges available for faster start

Qualifications

• MD or DO - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology - required
• Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain prior to start - required
• Ultrasound guided block proficiency - required
• Experienced anesthesiologists only
• Comfortable working independently in an ambulatory surgery center environment
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to exceptional patient outcomes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
