RN - ER Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current hospital acute care ED experience License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, ENPC Must-Have: Candidates must possess the required certifications. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description:This position involves working in the Emergency Department.The department has 24 beds and a staff of 45.The shift consists of 4 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 2 mid-shift RNs, 1 mid-shift Unit Clerk, and 1 EMT during the day shift.The night shift includes 4 Night RNs, 1 night EMT, and 1 night Charge Nurse.Patient ratios are 4:1, and 5:1 during surge conditions.The department uses GE monitors and the Meditech EMR system.Typical procedures include port access, IV start, venipuncture, nasal wash, point of care testing (troponin, lactic acid, urine dip), EKGs, and Foley placements.Candidates with additional skills such as CEN, CPEN, US IV competency, and pediatric Emergency Department experience will be prioritized.We are looking for individuals who are caring, competent, and active.Ideal candidates should be easy to communicate with and willing to go above and beyond. #J-18808-Ljbffr
